As many of you will know from the numerous blogs and emails – IBM i v6.1 became end of service on 30th September 2015. Past this date you will need IBM Extended support if you wish to raise support calls to IBM.
This presents a further issue to Power HA clients running v6.1 on IBM i as this will also be End of Support at the same time.
There is an extended service offering for PowerHA (High Availability Solutions Manager) at v6.1. which will run from October 1st 2015 to September 30th 2018 (3 years Software Extension to co-term with Software Extension for IBM i v6.1)
If you are currently running Power HA on V6.1 and are not able to upgrade quickly – we would suggest this as a sensible insurance policy in the interim. Please do not hesitate to give us a call for pricing.
