IBM i 5.4 Service Extension
IBM have recently announced that they will no longer be supporting the IBM i 5.4 Operating System from September 2013. Those customers that still require this version of operating system software will have the ability to purchase IBM i 5.4 Service Extension.
The price for Service Extension will be available from 30th April 2013 but you should expect to pay 60% more then you currently pay for Software Maintenance.
Software Maintenance is still a requirement if you need Service Extension.
The IBM i 5.4 Service Extension offering will be available for 3 Years to run till 30th September 2016.
