NaviSite Cloud now offered by Recarta IT

Recarta are proud to announce that we have recently signed an agreement to become a NaviSite Cloud Partner.

By the end of this year, over 50% of SMB organisations will have one or more applications running in the cloud. However, many organisations have made changes internally over the past few years to enable them to move applications and/or infrastructure to be outsourced but found that most Managed Service Providers offer co-location, management of their servers – but true utility computing is a step too far.

In addition – many organisations are looking for flexibility when using test and development environments, or needing to utilise “The Cloud” for short term projects – not being tied to 1, 2 and 3 year contracts.

Recarta has been successfully working with NaviSite (a Time Warner Cable Company) for the past four years to provide exactly this service.

Using NaviCloud® – you can take advantage of true utility computing – being billed monthly for usage and turning the service on and off as required. Also, as a company we are seeing our historic Unix clients moving from Manufacturer Operating Systems such as HP-UX and Solaris to Linux, and this is a great platform to use as a test and development environment.

The NaviCloud Platform sets the standard for enterprise-class infrastructure and application performance. A robust, virtualised infrastructure deployed as multiple, secure infrastructure clouds in NaviSite’s data centers, the NaviCloud Platform serves as the underlying technology for all of NaviSite’s infrastructure, hardware, and application service offerings. The Platform includes the building blocks of a system infrastructure service, including:

  • Virtualised servers
  • Windows and Linux operating systems
  • Storage
  • Networking
  • Firewalls
  • Load balancers

The NaviCloud Platform is built on a state-of-the-art infrastructure:
