Upon further evaluation, the storage redress saved 45% of their storage consumption – an impressive £115,000 in year one.

With that saving, they could reinvest in new tools, to help with more than just storage. We introduced tools like IBM Turbonomic, Apptio and Lucidity, which helped them optimise CPU, memory and other resources that were previously over-provisioned.
The best part? These tools were purchased through their existing cloud marketplace, so they counted toward their usage commitment resulting in no additional spend, just smarter management.
By the end of the project, they were saving money and in a better position to negotiate their next contract.
