Recarta IT was established in 2005 and currently holds its head office in Dorking with additional offices in Bristol, Manchester and Guernsey.
Recarta has three key strategies.
1. To scope, supply and integrate Enterprise Server and Storage Solutions.
2. Provide hosting, professional services and managed services to a wide range of Server and storage clients .
3. Supply and renew a wide range of Vendor, hardware & software maintenance alongside Vendor software licensing, compliance and renewals.
The company has continued to grow in all areas of the business, posting group revenues of £16 million in our recent accounts to the end of March 2022. Recarta currently works with over 280 clients annually, servicing public sector, manufacturing, distribution, financial and retail sectors.
Recarta currently employs 25 technical and sales consultants.
As our business enters another period of growth we have a brand new vacancy for a Technical Consultant to support our sales team. Recarta remains a respected IBM Platinum Reseller in the UK and we are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can ideally bring experience and the right skills to the role.
What You Will Do
- Responsible for designing and implementing Server, X86 and Storage customer solutions around a variety of vendors’ products including IBM, Pure, HPE, Dell and Fortinet along with virtualisation, back-up and cloud solutions.
- Provide Technical support for Recarta’s sales team and clients.
- You will be required to work pro-actively to help influence infrastructure solutions. This will require a working knowledge of Server, Storage, VMware, Veeam, as well as networking architecture.
- Understanding customers` physical environment and identify challenges; provide problem solving as it relates to Recartas services.
· Work alongside Recarta’s client managers with customers and prospects via email, telephone and face-to-face meetings to discuss prospective business and technical solutions.
· Establish relationships as a trusted technical consultant with the distributors, vendors, and potential vendors.
- Pilot /Proof of Concept (POC) development, tracking and support.
- Answer sales teams questions and provide training as needed.
- Support technical portion of RFPs and RFQs.
- Gather and share vendor updates and announcements to the sales team.
- Install and implement Solutions
- Provide solution configuration recommendations, architectural diagrams, quote/schedule/contract/SOW creation.
What You Will Bring
- The ability to develop, design and communicate solutions that map to customer current and future needs and requirements.
- Strong IBM Power and Storage Knowledge
- Strong background and proven experience of consultative solution approaches, pre-sales/ sales process and technology focused solution selling.
- Strong interpersonal, planning, and analytical skills.
- Strong implementation and “Go-Live” Skills
- Ability to team effectively at all levels of Recarta and customer personnel
· Can do attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn
- Preferred skills, IBMServer and SAN, Pure Storage, VMware, Veeam, RedHat Linux, Cisco Networking, Azure.
