Recarta at 20: A Legacy Built on People, Partnerships and Progress

In 2005, Daren Bland and Toby Harris founded Recarta with one clear goal: to help businesses thrive, not just survive, through smart and dependable IT services. They didn’t want to be just another supplier. They set out to be the partner businesses trust to take care of their infrastructure, so they’re free to grow and focus on what they do best.

What began with four people, and a big ambition, has grown into a team of nearly 50, supporting over 400 clients across the UK and beyond. We’re now a recognised, award-winning provider of managed services and enterprise infrastructure. But at our core, we’re still exactly what we set out to be: a business built on relationships, run by people who care.

Built on Passion and Experience

Daren’s career began with IBM Power Servers and led to the founding of one of the UK’s largest computer brokerage firms. Today, as our Managing Director, his focus is still the same – building honest, open relationships and doing the right thing by our clients and partners.

“I’m proud of how Recarta has grown. But more than anything, I’m proud of the trust we’ve earned – inside the company and with our clients. That’s what’s made it all work” says Daren.

Toby has shaped our strategy and client relationships from day one. His belief that long-term partnerships matter more than short-term wins has helped us support clients across healthcare, finance and beyond with the kind of quiet consistency that makes a real difference.
