The IBM i 7.3 extended support period, including coverage for new defect fixes, will start on October 1, 2023, and will be available for 3 years, until September 30, 2026.
IBM Software Support Services – Service Extension for IBM i 7.3 provides support for usage questions, problem determination assistance, and support for new fixes.
With this service, IBM product specialists can help you simplify the management of your IBM i 7.3 operating system as well as resolve issues more quickly and efficiently when they do happen, thereby minimizing the risk of business disruption.
IBM Software Support Services – Service Extension for IBM i 7.3 is available on IBM POWER7 systems, and later. For specific details regarding the level of support for the IBM i portfolio of products, such as the items that have new defect support, or only usage and known-defect support, or are not supported, speak to one of our IBM Support specialists.
In IBM Power Virtual Server (IBM PowerVS), starting October 1, 2023, Service Extension pricing will be automatically added to the IBM i charge for IBM i 7.3 usage.
Contracts are effective for a 12-month period and can be renewed for up to two additional 12-month terms.
If you are currently under contract with Recarta for Software Maintenance, a pro-rata charge can be applied for the remainder of your support agreement period.
